STOP! Can't operate as an 'entity' w/o entity license
STOP! We pay commissions to the legal entity that is contracted with Firefly, whether that be an individual, LLC, corporation, etc. You have selected that you want to be contracted with Firefly and operate as an entity, but the entity is not licensed. Since we cannot pay commissions to an unlicensed person or entity, we cannot on-board you as an entity unless you obtain an entity license. To get an entity license, you can go to Sircon (https://www.sircon.comn/products/apply.jsp). Then under "New Insurance Licenses" click New Insurance License. Then click "Resident", then click "Firm".
Enter the full legal name of the entity, including the legal entity type identifier (for example, Family Agency LLC, or Hometown Agency Inc.).
A DBA (Doing Business As) name can help you maintain your local community branding. What do you want your office/location to be called? For example, you may legally be "Jones Insurance Services of Cincinnati LLC", but operate under the DBA of "Jones Agency". Or, you may be an individual named Jennifer Thompson, but your DBA is "Thompson Insurance Services". Your office (branch) DBA is important because that is how Firefly will refer to your location in all of our systems. As a rule, we do not want the DBA to include "legal entity type" identifiers like LLC, Corp, Co, Inc, etc. If you tell us your DBA is Jones Agency LLC, we'll change it to be just "Jones Agency." This is not the legal name of your location, but the name you prefer to do business as.
Enter your entity's EIN (Tax ID).
